On July 5th, the public memorial service for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, entered its second day. Around 8 a.m. local time, a large number of Iranians gathered at the Imam Khomeini Mosque in Tehran to perform funeral prayers for Khamenei and his four relatives who were killed.
According to Reuters, Ali Khamenei's eldest son Mustafa, third son Massoud, and fourth son Messem attended the ceremony. The current supreme leader, his second son Mojtaaba, did not attend due to security concerns. Mojtaaba's father-in-law, former speaker Gulam Adel, was present to accompany the family.

Iranian President Pehzevchiyan, Parliament Speaker Kalibaf, Judicial Director Ejayi, Ayatollah Sishati and other key political and religious leaders were present at the event. The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Vahidi, also appeared at the scene. Some foreign delegations attended the ceremony.
To this day, there has been no public appearance or release of photographs of Mujtaba. It is said that he was injured in the attack on February 28th when Israel and the United States bombed Iranian targets, resulting in the death of his father and other family members.
Someone close to the core circle revealed to Reuters that Mudjetaaba suffered facial disfigurement and serious injuries to one or two legs.
According to Al Jazeera, U.S. President Trump said in an interview with media on the 4th that the scene of mourning among Iranians was beyond his expectations, and that the United States would not launch attacks during the funeral proceedings.
Trump told the American news website Axios in a phone interview that he was "shocked" to see Iranian people crying at the funeral of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and said, "I thought Iranians didn't like him."
He claimed that the United States could “eliminate all those who attend the funeral,” but this approach would lead to “no one attending the negotiations.” He revealed that the United States and Iran have decided to resume negotiations after Hameney’s funeral, “Neither side will fire during the funeral.”
According to the official plan, a funeral ceremony for Khamenei and his family will be held in the Shiite holy city of Qum on July 7. At the request of people from all walks of life in Iraq, funeral ceremonies will also be held in the Shiite holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq on July 8. On July 9, a burial ceremony will take place in Mashhad, a holy city in northeastern Iran, where Khamenei was born.

On July 5th, Iranian media released video screenshots of the scene.
