According to Chilean media reports, on May 7 local time, during a graduation ceremony for police dog training courses held in the Valparaíso region of Chile, a dramatic scene occurred: a drug-sniffing dog suddenly pounced on the pocket of a naval lieutenant
Reports indicate that after more than a month of training, Chilean customs officers have successfully trained 5 maritime police officers and 4 Belgian Malinois dogs. These dogs are capable of detecting drugs such as marijuana and cocaine.
Video shows that on the day of the incident, when the police dogs and officials stood on the stage, one of the drug-sniffing dogs rushed towards a naval lieutenants pants pocket, causing chaos at the scene.
In a statement issued by the Chilean Navy, it was said that the reaction of this drug-sniffing dog was due to its age, temperament, and level of excitement.
Statement: The naval lieutenant was not injured; only his uniform was torn. The dog is currently in good condition, undergoing retraining, and is under supervision.
