Ryan Air Window Detachment Incident: Passenger Nearly Extricated

AFP reported on the 10th, citing witnesses and officials, that an Irish Ryan Air flight heading to Germany experienced a window 'detachment' accident. A man was nearly pulled out of the window but was eventually pulled back into the cabin by other passengers.

A female passenger on the same flight described, “Most of us were asleep with our eyes closed. Suddenly, there was a loud noise, like the sound of a tire bursting. For a moment, I thought someone had accidentally opened the emergency door.”

“The oxygen mask fell off, and a pungent smell hit the face. One of the passengers had his head and shoulders sticking out of the window, fortunately he hadn’t unfastened his seatbelt at that moment.” She added that other passengers sitting nearby immediately stepped forward to help, and together they pulled him back into the cabin.

According to reports, the man was hospitalized due to friction burns and is currently in good health.
