Putin: Ukraine Attacks Impact Refined Oil Supply

According to Russian media reports, Russian President Putin said on the 13th local time that the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces did cause some problems with the supply of refined oil products to Russia, but the situation will gradually improve.

On that day, Putin made the aforementioned statement while visiting the exhibition "Everything for Victory".

When talking about the recent attacks on Russian energy facilities in Ukraine, Putin emphasized, "Russia's energy infrastructure is very strong and reliable."

He also pointed out, “Yes, their actions have indeed caused some problems with our supply of refined oil at this stage. I believe that the situation will gradually improve.”

Since the end of May this year, there has been a shortage of fuel supply in many regions of Russia. Gas stations in many areas have set quotas for the number of gallons of gasoline and diesel that can be purchased per person. These restrictions have led to a significant increase in oil prices, and long queues have formed at many gas stations.

On July 8th, Putin convened a meeting to discuss the fuel shortage issue faced by Russia. After the meeting, the Russian government announced that oil companies were prohibited from exporting diesel from Russia. The ban is effective until July 31st.
