According to a report by the American CBS network on July 13th, a supply ship of the U.S. Navy experienced a sudden fire on the Patapsco River that day. No injuries were reported, and the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Baltimore Fire Department in Maryland, USA, reported that the accident occurred around 11 a.m. local time on the 13th. Two lifeboats on the U.S. Navy's large medium-speed roll-on/roll-off ship "Charles L. Gilligan" (T-AKR-298) were engulfed in flames, and thick smoke could be seen from several kilometers away.
