On July 16th local time, the Qatar International Media Office issued a statement denying reports by Israeli media stating that "Qatar has agreed to participate in military operations against Iran".
The statement said that Qatar "resolutely refuses to accept" the "false reports" published by Israeli media.
Qatar stated that it has confirmed that these accusations "attempt to drag Qatar into conflict, undermine Qatar's key role in mediation, and lead to further escalation and chaos in the region."
The statement reaffirms that Qatar has not participated in, and will not participate in any military actions against any of its neighboring countries.
The statement further emphasizes that Qatar will not allow such misleading accusations to undermine the country's positive diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Qatar will continue to coordinate with regional and international partners to mediate in order to reach a comprehensive and sustainable agreement that addresses the concerns of all parties.
