According to CCTV reports, Prime Minister Anu Thongchai was invited to visit China from July 16 to 20 to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global Artificial Intelligence Governance. He also held a formal visit to China. This is the first official visit by Prime Minister Anu Thongchai since his appointment, highlighting the high importance both sides attach to the development of bilateral relations between Thailand and China.

According to the introduction, Anuinth was born on September 13, 1966. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Hofstra University in New York State, USA, and a Master of Business Administration from Thammasat University in Thailand. He has been involved in business for a long time. In 1996, he entered politics and served as the leader of the Pheu Phai Party in 2012. In September 2025, he was elected as Thailand's 32nd Prime Minister. He was re-elected in March 2026 and also served as the Minister of Interior.

In an interview with CCTV's "High-end Interview" in 2023, Anu Ting said, "I am also a 100% descendant of Chinese people. My parents, grandparents, and maternal grandparents all came from China. I was born in Thailand, and I have a Chinese name (Chen Xiyao). In my family, everyone speaks Cantonese. Because of this sense of closeness, I feel very happy whenever I meet Chinese people."

In September 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand held a reception in Bangkok to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Anu Ting attended the reception and delivered a speech wishing for prosperity for China. At the end of his speech, Anu Ting said in Chinese: "We wish the People's Republic of China long life."
