According to the WeChat public account "China Coast Guard", Jiang Lue, the spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, stated that on July 23, two Philippine official ships, vessels number 3012 and 3018, disregarded repeated warnings and protests from China and insisted on entering the waters under the jurisdiction of Huangyan Island. The China Coast Guard took necessary measures, such as surveillance, obstruction, and control, to drive away the Philippine ships in accordance with the law. The operations were professional, standardized, and lawful. Huangyan Island is an inherent part of China’s territory. We urge the Philippines to immediately stop these invasive and provocative actions. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out rights-protecting and law enforcement activities in the waters around Huangyan Island in accordance with the law, firmly safeguarding China’s territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
