According to the Israel Times, citing a report by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Service (KAN) on July 22nd, the United States has informed Israel that it plans to intensify its military strikes against Iran in the coming days. This includes the use of heavy bombers for the first time since the US and Israel launched military actions against Iran.
Reports suggest that the heavy bombers are expected to be used to target Iran’s underground nuclear facilities. U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened several times over the past week that the region could soon be targeted.
It is reported that the United States is maintaining close coordination with its partners in order to prepare Israel for potential countermeasures from Iran, in case of increased U.S. sanctions. These countermeasures could include missile attacks against Israel.
According to KAN, after receiving reports from the United States, Israel was in maximum alert that night.
It is reported that “Gaoshan” is located near the Natanz nuclear facility in Isfahan Province, central Iran. It is considered one of Iran’s most secure underground nuclear facilities.
According to Iranian media reports, the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, Houtham Anbiya, issued a statement early on the 22nd warning that any attack by US forces against Iranian nuclear facilities or other sensitive installations would be considered an expansion of the war in the region.
The statement says that in such a situation, “all interests of the United States, as well as those of its allies and supporters, will be targets of strong attacks by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
