Wang Yi stated that in the past two years, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi have successfully held meetings in Kazan and Tianjin. Both leaders agreed that China and India are partners rather than competitors, and that they are opportunities for development rather than threats. This has led to a positive trajectory for China-India relations. Through joint efforts, institutional exchanges between the two countries have gradually resumed, border areas have remained peaceful and secure, and bilateral trade volume has reached new heights. These achievements were not easily obtained, and should be cherished. Currently, the world is facing accelerated changes brought about by the century, and it has entered a period of new turmoil and transformation. As representatives of emerging economies and important members of the Global South, China and India should focus on the well-being of humanity, demonstrate the responsibilities of great powers, consolidate the positive trends in bilateral relations, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and make positive contributions to promoting a multi-polar process and democratization of international relations. China is willing to work with India to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders, intensify high-level exchanges, strengthen cooperation in economic, trade, media, and cultural fields, properly handle sensitive issues, and promote correct mutual understanding among people from both sides of the border. On the basis of peaceful coexistence, we should explore ways for neighboring powers to respect each other, trust each other, develop together, and prosper together. This will continue to inject new momentum into China-India relations. In the coming years, India and China will successively serve as the rotating chairmanship of BRICS. Both sides should strengthen coordination and cooperation to promote the development of the "BRICS Cooperation" mechanism and better represent and safeguard the common interests of developing countries. China will continue to support India in hosting this year’s BRICS Summit.

Su Jiesheng said that the two leaders’ meetings in India and China confirmed that the two countries are partners rather than rivals, which has pointed the way for the development of bilateral relations. As important neighbors and populous nations, India-China relations are of regional and global significance. India's stance on issues such as Taiwan and Tibet has not changed; it respects China's sovereignty. India will always promote positive and cooperative bilateral relations with a forward-looking attitude. It is willing to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the two leaders, strengthen high-level exchanges, make good use of bilateral mechanisms, promote practical cooperation in areas such as trade and humanities, maintain border peace and stability, handle differences properly, and make continuous efforts to improve and develop bilateral relations. India thanks China for supporting it as this year's rotating chair of the BRICS group, and looks forward to continuing to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly safeguard multilateralism and the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern, such as those involving Iran and Myanmar.
