On July 25th local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a warning stating that if Britain supports the military actions taken by the United States against Iran, Britain will become a “clear and lawful target” for the Iranian side.
According to reports from the Iranian Islamic Republic Broadcasting Corporation, a spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard said that any country that supports the United States in waging war against Iran, including Britain and the Gulf countries, will be regarded as a legitimate target for attack.
This speaker also pointed out that during recent US attacks on Iran, American fighter jets have utilized airbases within British territory.
Any country, whether it be the United Kingdom or any other nation, as long as it supports the US involvement in this war, will become a legal target. The speaker said so.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran also stated that the memorandum of understanding previously signed between the US and Iran stipulates that navigation in the Hormuz Strait should be carried out according to the arrangements announced by Iran. Iran accused the US of violating this memorandum, as the US had previously announced an alternative route for ships to pass through this strategic waterway.
During this announcement, tensions in the US-Iran situation have continued to rise due to the recent escalation of military actions. Conflicts over regional security, nuclear issues, and military deployments between the two sides have further intensified, and there are concerns that the risk of conflict may continue to expand.
