A man from Wales, UK, recently staged a "real-life thriller" - he wore a deathly costume, held a huge sickle, climbed onto the roof of a hospital, and silently observed the medical staff and visitors below for nearly 50 minutes...
According to a report by the American media website Complex on August 6th, 26-year-old Welsh man Leon Gillespie was taken away by police due to this 'performance art', and was fined £200 by the court (approximately RMB 1,814).
Witnesses captured the "Death God"
The incident occurred on June 6th. The police and fire department in North Wales received a call reporting the appearance of a “death god” on the roof of Granglouid Hospital in North Wales.
Witnesses said that the man was wearing a black death's robe, and held a seemingly intimidating sickle in his hand. He stood on the roof, looking down at the hospital staff and visitors.
What’s even more disturbing is that he didn’t shout or explain anything; he just stared quietly at the people downstairs.
The police later confirmed that this 'deathstroke' was actually Guillès-Pi, from Dagenwyck. He was charged with 'harassment or disturbance without reasonable cause' for causing disturbances and disruption at NHS facilities in the UK.
In court, Gillespie admitted the charges and accepted a fine of 200 pounds. However, when the judge asked him why he had dressed up as the death god climbing the hospital roof, he failed to provide an explanation.
This isn’t the first time Gillespie has caused trouble. Earlier this year, he admitted to stealing cat food and litter from a pet store, and in May, he stole food and beverages from the British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.
The Health Committee of Beth Israel Deacon University, where the hospital is located, stated that the hospital adopts a 'zero tolerance' approach towards any harassment, assault, or disruptive behavior.
North Wales Police also stated that the man did not enter the hospital in order to receive medical care at that time. Instead, he refused to leave even after being asked to do so, and therefore he was dealt with according to the law.
