According to the WeChat official account of 'People's Bank of China', the People's Bank of China plans to issue commemorative coins to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Jiang Zemin's birth starting from August 17, 2026. There will be a total of 4 commemorative coins: 1 ordinary commemorative coin, 2 gold commemorative coins, and 1 silver commemorative coin. All of these coins are legal tender of the People's Republic of China.
I. Ordinary Commemorative Coin
(1) Design of ordinary commemorative coins.
Front pattern.
The design on the obverse of the commemorative coin for the 100th anniversary of Jiang Zemin's birth features the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China, along with the country's name and the year of celebration.
2. Backside pattern.
The back pattern features a portrait of Comrade Jiang Zemin, along with the words "Centenary of Jiang Zemin's Birth" and "1926-2026" as well as the denomination.
(II) The denomination, specifications, material, and quantity of the commemorative coins.
The commemorative coin for the 100th anniversary of Jiang Zemin's birth has a face value of 1 yuan, a diameter of 25 millimeters, and is made of steel core with nickel plating. The issuance quantity is 10 million pieces. The distribution quantities among various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government are as follows.
(III) Method of issuance.
The commemorative coin for the 100th anniversary of Jiang Zemin's birth was issued through a reservation-based redemption system. The specific arrangements are as follows:

(5) The commemorative coin celebrating the 100th anniversary of Jiang Zemin’s birth has the same function as the currently in circulation RMB, and it is exchangeable for RMB of the same denomination.
II. Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins
(1) Patterns of gold and silver commemorative coins.
Positive pattern.
All the designs on the gold and silver commemorative coins feature the National Emblem of the People's Republic of China, along with the country's name and the year of issuance.
2. Back pattern.
The reverse side of the 30-gram round gold commemorative coin features a portrait of Comrade Jiang Zemin, along with the inscriptions “Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Jiang Zemin’s Birth” and “1926-2026”, as well as the denomination.
The reverse side of the 8-gram round gold commemorative coin features a photo of Comrade Jiang Zemin graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1947. The coin also bears the inscriptions “Centenary of Jiang Zemin’s Birth” and “1926-2026”, along with the denomination.
The reverse design of the 30-gram round silver commemorative coin features a photograph of Comrade Jiang Zemin delivering a speech at the “Three Lectures” education meeting for leading cadres in Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province, in 2000. The coin also bears the inscriptions “Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Jiang Zemin’s Birth” and “1926-2026”, along with the denomination.
(II) Specifications and circulation of gold and silver commemorative coins.
The 30-gram round gold commemorative coin is a fine-quality coin, containing 30 grams of pure gold. It has a diameter of 32 millimeters, a face value of 500 yuan, and a fineness of 99.9%. The maximum quantity issued is 1,000 pieces.
The 8-gram round gold commemorative coin is a premium coin, containing 8 grams of pure gold. It has a diameter of 22 millimeters, a face value of 100 yuan, and a fineness of 99.9%. The maximum issuance quantity is 10,000 pieces.
The 30-gram round silver commemorative coin is a premium coin, containing 30 grams of pure silver. It has a diameter of 40 millimeters, a face value of 10 yuan, and a fineness of 99.9%. The maximum issuance quantity is 20,000 pieces.
(III) Units for minting gold and silver commemorative coins and sales channels.
The gold and silver commemorative coins are minted by Shenyang Mint Co., Ltd., Shanghai Mint Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Guobao Mint Co., Ltd. China Gold Coin Group Co., Ltd. is the sole distributor of these coins.
