According to CNN, on August 13 local time, a train derailed near Lewis in East Sussex, England, causing at least 18 people to be injured, two of whom suffered serious injuries. Video footage from the scene showed that at least three cars were overturned. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:54 PM, on the railway section between Hayworth Heath and Lewis. The derailed train was carrying about 150 passengers, and it had departed from London Victoria station. All passengers were safely evacuated afterwards.

A drone video shows dozens of first responders working around the derailed train, with emergency vehicles nearby. Photos shared on social media appear to show the train car lying on its side, with people standing on the car.
This accident is the second serious train accident in the UK in two months. In June this year, two passenger trains collided near Bedford Town in southern England, resulting in one death and dozens of injuries.
It is still unclear what caused the carriage to derail.
