Trump Posts Photo with Kim Jong-un, Claims Getting Along Very Well

On August 15th, local time, U.S. President Donald Trump posted a photo of himself with North Korea’s top leader Kim Jong-un on his own social media platform 'Truth Social', and stated that the two were 'getting along well'.

He wrote, “Although our expressions on this photo don’t seem friendly, we have many photos where we are smiling together. Kim Jong-un and I get along very well.”

According to Yonhap, this photo is a group shot of the two people taken in Panmunjon in 2019. In June this year, Trump also posted a photo of the two meeting in Singapore in 2018.

During Trump's first presidential term, Trump and Kim Jong-un held their first meeting between incumbent leaders from the US and North Korea in Singapore in June 2018. They met for a second time in Hanoi, Vietnam in February 2019, and once more at Panmunjom on the Korean Peninsula's Demilitarized Zone in June of that same year.
