According to TASS reports, on August 28 local time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova stated that Russia has not received any proposals regarding the resumption of negotiations on Ukraine in September, neither from Ukraine nor from any other parties.
According to reports, in response to media reports that a Russian-Ukrainian delegation might hold another meeting in September, Zaharova said on the same day, “Neither the Ukrainian side nor any other parties have made any proposals regarding this issue.”
According to Ukrainian media Strana.ua and Russian news agency, on the 27th, the head of the Ukrainian President's office, Budanov, said in an interview with Ukrainian media that Ukraine and Russia may resume negotiations in September.
He revealed that the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia is currently at a standstill, but there are plans to ‘restart’ this process. He stated that the next phase of negotiations could take place as early as September.
When asked whether Ukrainian and Russian negotiators held meetings, Budanov said, “I hope so. Yes. They include Americans as well. Without them, we couldn’t do anything.”
On that day, Russian President's press secretary Peskov stated that he does not have any information regarding the specific plans and timing for the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
