On September 3rd, local time, German police reported that a fire broke out at the construction site of the company Rod & Schwartz in Munich early in the morning. Two suspects were arrested, and police have launched a criminal investigation into the incident.
The police in Bavaria, where Munich is located, said that the arson was likely targeted at Rohde & Schwarz. The company confirmed the incident and stated that more information would be provided later.
Police and security officials also stated that political motives for this attack cannot be ruled out. This office complex houses several defense-related companies, such as Helsing, a leading defense technology company that provides artificial intelligence combat drones to the Ukrainian military.
According to multiple German media outlets including BR24, shortly after midnight that day, someone threw several incendiary devices from a car towards the construction site, causing a fire. A passerby witnessed the arson and reported it to the police. Fortunately, the fire was not severe, resulting in no injuries and only minor property damage. The police quickly extinguished the fire upon arriving at the scene.
München police spokesman said that a burning device was also found at the scene, which needs to be dealt with by bomb disposal officers.
It is reported that the police arrested two Bulgarian suspects near a gas station on the construction site. The suspects are a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man.

Its products are used in fields such as aerospace, defense, cybersecurity, broadcasting, and communication technologies. The company has an annual revenue of over 3 billion euros.
