Xi Jinping Visits North Korea

On the morning of June 8th, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, left Beijing on a special plane. At the invitation of Kim Jong-il, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, he conducted an official visit to North Korea.

Those who accompanied the mission were: General Secretary Xi Jinping, President’s wife Peng Liyuan, Cai Qi, Vice Chairman of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
