On September 5th, local time, Slovak Prime Minister Fico delivered a video speech to the nation through social media platform Facebook. He stated that the strategy to force Russia into submission had failed. However, the West refused to acknowledge this mistake and continued to fuel conflict.
“If the Western powers had not prevented Ukraine from signing that agreement with Russia, which was finalized in April 2022, this war would have ended long ago. They naively believed that by using Ukraine and providing it with comprehensive political, military, and financial support, they could make the country they despised, Russia, submit to them. This strategy was a complete failure,” said Fico. “Despite no British, German, or French soldiers being killed, the West still refuses to admit its mistakes and continues to fuel the flames of war.”
Fizzo pointed out that the current situation has become even more dangerous.
He said, “For many politicians who cannot effectively handle the consequences of their country’s economic recession and wrongful immigration policies, further militarization, increased tensions, and the possibility of global conflicts may become means to sustain their political survival.”
Fitzos also mentioned his visit to Bulgaria a few days ago. He said that the Bulgarian leaders had a pragmatic assessment of the situation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and like the Slovak leadership, believed that there was no military solution to this conflict.

According to Reuters, on September 5 local time, U.S. President Special Envoy Weterkov and Trump's son-in-law Kushner arrived in the Russian capital Moscow.
According to Tass, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's press secretary Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed a three-day ceasefire against Kiev starting at midnight that day.
Peskov said that this move is in coordination with the work that will be carried out by US negotiators in Kiev. Peskov also mentioned that Putin will meet with Vitaly Klitschko and Joe Tsipras today.
Previously, Ukrainian media also reported that the Ukrainian armed forces announced a ceasefire from midnight on September 5 until September 8.
