Reuters reported on September 21 local time that according to survey data, since January 1 this year, Trump has named Biden at least 890 times in various speeches, comments, and social media posts. On average, he mentioned Biden three times a day, with topics including inflation, immigration issues, and ammunition shortages being among the subjects discussed.
Data shows that Trump mentioned Biden at least 210 times on economic issues, 168 times on immigration issues, and 138 times on foreign policy and national security matters. Additionally, Trump attributed a series of other domestic issues to Biden.
During the NATO summit in July this year, Trump mentioned Biden as many as 16 times in one day, setting a record. The accusations included shortages of military ammunition and high housing costs.
In the United States, it is common for the current president to criticize his predecessor. Biden has also accused Trump. However, according to Reuters, Trump’s continuous criticism of Biden, even after 20 months in office, has attracted special attention.
In the 2020 presidential election, Biden defeated Trump, who was deeply resentful of this result, claiming that the election had been “stolen”. Currently, Biden has largely withdrawn from public life and is struggling with cancer.
Reuters noted that as Trump's popularity declined, the ongoing war with Iran delayed progress, and the high cost of living in the United States, he tried to focus on Biden during this election cycle. "He attempted to keep Americans focused on the failures of the previous administration, rather than the voters' concerns about his own presidency."
