According to Iranian Maheer News Agency, on September 21 local time, Hossein Mokhberg, a spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, said that although the United States has naval forces, it failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He also warned that future conflicts will involve 'new types of weapons that will shock the world'.
When asked if the current situation represents a new stage in the conflict, Mookibi said that the war is not over and continues at different stages. He said that the Revolutionary Guard is ready for a long-term war.
Furthermore, Mokhebi denied any contact between the Revolutionary Guard and the United States. He stated that the Revolutionary Guard’s duties, in accordance with the Iranian constitution, are strictly limited to military affairs and do not involve foreign affairs, which are the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Revolutionary Guard has never had any official or unofficial relations with the United States, and has no intention of getting involved in foreign affairs.
Regarding the possibility of Iran being attacked again, Mochbi said that any future confrontations will involve changes in the war zones, as well as new weapons and capabilities that could “shock the world.” Iran’s objectives will also be different from those in the past.
According to Mohibbi, Iran developed some weapons that were not yet in use during the war and before the war, describing them as strategic assets that can be deployed when necessary.
