Netanyahu said, "You are truly shameful, Mr. Mamdani. You are truly shameful for supporting Hamas, which massacres our people. You are truly shameful for inciting riots against Jews in New York."
"I'm going to go to the United Nations," Netanyahu said, "and I'm going to tell the truth about our brave soldiers. And I will also tell you the truth."
Netanyahu will depart for New York on September 23 to attend a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. Previously, New York Mayor Bloomberg, in an interview, once again accused Netanyahu of being a war criminal who planned genocide against the Palestinian people.
As early as during his tenure as a candidate for New York City mayor, Mamdani said that if Netanyahu visited New York, his arrest would be imminent.
In July this year, Mamdani said that New York City has no authority to arrest Netanyahu, but he urged the U.S. federal government to execute the arrest order issued by the International Criminal Court.
