When leaving Washington, senior officials of the U.S. government paid him a farewell at the airport. The airport fired 21 salutes.
On the way to the airport, representatives of overseas Chinese and international students waved the national flags of China and the United States along both sides of the road, expressing their warm congratulations on the successful visit of President Xi Jinping.
