Assam State Chief Minister Sarma said: "We have learned about the air force transport aircraft accident in Jhokhat, and we are awaiting further information."

It is reported that the An-32 is a twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft and also the main model of the Indian Air Force. This aircraft was initially developed by the Soviet Union specifically for Indian needs, and the Indian Air Force currently has approximately 100 units of this aircraft in service.
