On October 19th, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said during a meeting with a delegation from the US Congress that the decisions taken by the US regarding the Russo-Ukraine conflict—including delaying weapon deliveries and restricting intelligence sharing—are “unexplained”.
He pointed out that Ukraine has not received a complete explanation regarding restrictions on the use of the ‘Star Shield’ satellite communication system. Ukraine needs to use this system to carry out some drone attacks and to defend against Russian attacks, especially those from Russian jet drones.
In the video he posted on social media platforms, he said that in the past week, Ukraine had received no advance warning of an attack from its partners for three times.
"We understand that unfortunately, the delivery of missiles has been postponed at the Pentagon. Our partners have already paid through the "Ukraine Priority Needs List" mechanism." Zelensky said.
He said that, as far as he knew, a batch of missiles is waiting for the signature of U.S. Defense Secretary Hagel. “All this indicates that some political decisions have been made to reduce support for us.”
Zelensky said that if the United States provides Ukraine with Patriot interceptor missiles, Ukraine is willing to suspend attacks on Russian refineries for 30 days, as requested by U.S. President Trump.
He also expressed the hope that the Ukrainian delegation will meet with U.S. President's Special Envoy Wietkow and Kushner in Norway and the United States in the coming days.
