China-Myanmar Cross-Border Fire Rescue Operation

According to the WeChat public account 'China Emergency Management', at around 12:00 on October 20th, a fuel storage tank at a gas station in Muzie City, Myanmar, caught fire. The building where the fire occurred was only over 200 meters away from the China-Myanmar border, directly threatening the lives and property of people on both sides of the border.

Yunnan Dehong Fire Department promptly dispatched professional forces to carry out cross-border rescue operations, thereby continuing the bonds of friendship between China and Myanmar through practical actions.

After the fire broke out, in order to control the fire promptly and avoid further property damage, the local Burmese government sent an urgent request for assistance to the Chinese side. Upon receiving the request, the Chinese local government immediately assessed the situation, reported it to the authorities, and coordinated with departments such as fire protection, customs, and border inspection to quickly launch a cross-border emergency response plan. At the same time, they dispatched 14 vehicles and 53 personnel from Dehong Fire Department to participate in the cross-border fire-fighting and rescue operation.

It is understood that the fire damaged 10 horizontal storage tanks in a factory-style gas station. The area affected by the fire is approximately 400 square meters.
