According to reports, a clip of Barak being interviewed was circulated online on October 23. In the interview, he said, “Is it possible to launch an attack this weekend? It’s entirely possible.”

He also described the Trump administration's stance on Iran, stating that its goal is not to overthrow the Iranian regime, but rather to take broader measures to reduce regional and international security threats. "The outcome will not be a regime change. What the president is interested in is rebalancing the situation, without any hostages or threats, so that the world can return to peace."

Barak added that Trump is still willing to reach an agreement with Tehran, and he has a clear expectation of this potential agreement.

On the 23rd, when reporters asked Trump about Barak’s remarks, he seemed somewhat surprised. “Is he my ambassador? He’s a quite powerful person, I guess. Well, if that’s indeed the case, then I have no knowledge of it.”

On October 8th, Trump posted on social media stating that the United States is engaged in “fruitful discussions” with Iran. Before the mid-term elections in Congress on November 3rd, the United States will not carry out any attacks against Iran.

On October 23, Trump said that the United States might carry out another small-scale "Epic Rage" operation, or Iran could choose to compromise.
