Irans Raisi Acknowledges Food Shortages Amidst War Concerns

According to AFP, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on the 24th that under the economic pressure caused by war, many Iranians are struggling to make ends meet with just three meals a day.

In a speech released on its official website, Pezeshian said, "Many people in society are struggling for food every day because we have been caught up in this war, because we live under wartime conditions."

Peserchiyan called for an end to what he described as a “state of war and peacelessness,” saying that Tehran “must also get out of this situation,” but did not explain how to do so.

While he made those statements, concerns about a resurgence of war were growing among the outside world.

Recently, there were reports that the military of the United States and Israel have developed a detailed plan to strike Iran again after the U.S. mid-term elections in November.

Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman said on the 24th that the armed forces are ready to respond to any new attacks. “Even if the enemy takes limited action, Iran will retaliate with a multiple-fold intensity.”
