According to Russian satellite news agency, Russian President Putin stated on October 25 that Europe initially tried to blame the riots on the United States, but soon "realized" and began to accuse Russia instead.
In an interview with the reporter Pavel Zarubin from the "News" department, Putin admitted that he was surprised by the initial accusations of the United States as the main culprit behind European protests.
Putin said, "I did not expect European leaders to attack their major allies on the other side of the ocean, or rather, their military protectors in such a manner. But they quickly 'realized' and turned to traditional accusations against Russia."
Recently, large-scale protests and demonstrations have occurred in France and several other European countries, with violent riots breaking out in some cities.
