Israel Accused of Continuing Genocide in Gaza After Ceasefire

According to a report released by a United Nations committee on October 26, Israel continued to carry out genocide in Gaza even after reaching a cease-fire agreement with the United States through American mediation in October last year. Israel dismissed the report, calling it part of a “false information campaign”.

The United Nations Independent International Investigative Commission, in its report on the occupied Palestinian territories including East Jerusalem and Israel, examined the violations committed against Palestinian children between October 7, 2023, when Israel entered into war with Hamas, and September of this year.

The report states that Israeli authorities continue to carry out “genocidal acts with intent to exterminate Palestinians in Gaza, either entirely or in part,” and the situation in the occupied West Bank continues to deteriorate.

Another report released by the committee in September last year also concluded that Israel had carried out genocide in Gaza, and stated that high-ranking Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had incited these actions. The Israeli side said that these accusations were outrageous.

The Israeli delegation in Geneva stated that the latest report is part of a fabricated information campaign aimed at demonizing Israel.

Israeli Ambassador Daniel Meron said in a statement: "The attempts to destroy the Jewish state continue today; entities such as the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission try to undermine Israel’s legitimacy, denying it its basic rights to existence and self-defense."

The committee found that during the ceasefire in Gaza, the Israeli army continued to use heavy ammunition, drones, quadrotters, artillery, and sniper fire in densely populated areas.

The report states that the “yellow line,” which is described as a temporary ceasefire boundary, is increasingly moving towards Gaza, becoming a de facto border, reflecting Israel’s expansion of control over Gaza territory.

Palestinian authorities said that since the start of the conflict, Israel has carried out attacks on Gaza that have resulted in over 74,000 deaths.

The committee, in its report submitted to the United Nations Security Council, states that the situation on the West Bank of Jordan has deteriorated rapidly: The number of Palestinians killed by airstrikes between October 6, 2008 and October 6, 2023, rose from 6 individuals to 254 individuals between October 7, 2023, and September 30, 2026.

"Chaired by Mr. Sri Niva San Muladi Dahl, the Committee Chairman stated that intentionally killing Palestinian civilians and destroying houses on the West Bank of Jordan is part of Israel’s strategy of “ethnic cleansing and expulsion of Palestinians.”"

The report states that military operations since January 2025 have caused the largest number of Palestinians to be displaced on the West Bank since 1967. As of August 2026, 34,176 Palestinians remain displaced.
