October 27th, Foreign Minister Spokesperson Guo Jia Kun presided over a routine press conference.
A journalist asked a question. We have noticed that the Chinese Embassy in the UK recently issued a reminder for Chinese citizens regarding the safety of immigration checks in the UK. Could the spokesperson please provide more information on this matter?

Guo Jiaqun stated that recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy in the UK have received reports of Chinese citizens being detained for a long time by British border officials, as well as the seizure of electronic devices such as mobile phones carried by these citizens. The Chinese side expresses strong dissatisfaction and serious concern over the arbitrary excessive law enforcement by the British police. We have communicated this matter to the British side and will make every effort to safeguard the personal safety and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens.
"We remind Chinese citizens planning to travel to the United Kingdom to read the advisories issued by the British Embassy in China carefully, to avoid any inconvenience or loss." Guo Jiakun said.
