The statement says that the U.S. government is coordinating its response with Russian authorities. The U.S. also reminds American citizens living in Russia to avoid visiting the Zaryintsy Museum Reserve and surrounding areas on that day, to stay away from crowded places, stay vigilant, and pay close attention to information released by local media.

The Charyzyno Museum Reserve is located in the south of Moscow. It is a tourist attraction featuring historic palace buildings and vast parks, which attract a large number of visitors especially on weekends.

AFP noted that the U.S. Embassy did not disclose who may have planned the attack, nor did it provide any additional details regarding the threat.

Later that day, the Russian Federal Security Service confirmed to TASS that it had received a warning from the United States.

We received information from American sources regarding preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow by someone. We are currently conducting related work. The Federal Security Service of Russia said.

Tass later cited information from Russian authorities, stating that the Tsaryzinno Museum Reserve has been temporarily closed due to related actions.

"Due to ongoing actions, the Zharyzhno Museum Reserve has been closed," said a source cited by Tass.

AFP also cited information from the Russian Telegram channel Baza, stating that the scenic area has stopped allowing tourists to enter, and only allows personnel within the area to leave. Law enforcement officers have already arrived at the scene.

Russian President's Special Representative and President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, stated on the same day that cooperation between Russian and American security departments is of crucial importance to global security.

This is not the first time that the United States has informed Russia about the risk of major terrorist attacks.

On March 7, 2024, the U.S. Embassy in Russia issued a security warning stating that extremists planned to attack large gathering places in Moscow, including concert venues. American citizens were advised to avoid crowded areas within the next 48 hours.

On March 22 of the same year, the "Krocus City" concert hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, was attacked by a severe terrorist attack. Armed individuals fired at the crowd at the scene and set fire to the building, resulting in the death of more than 140 people. The extremist organization "ISIL" claimed responsibility for the attack in Horasan.

As of now, neither Russia nor the United States has announced the identity of the planner behind the potential attack in Moscow, nor have they revealed the specific plan. Additionally, Russian authorities have not stated whether anyone has been arrested as a result of this incident.
