According to a report by Yonhap on November 2nd, the South Korean military reported that a South Korean army non-commissioned officer died in a camp near the military demarcation line between North and South Korea. The exact cause of the death is under investigation.
According to the South Korean military and fire department, at around 7:14 am local time on the 2nd, a soldier in his 20s was found lying on the ground with serious head injuries at a camp of a certain unit of the South Korean Army in Taewon County, Gangwon Province. The personnel from that unit immediately reported the situation, and the injured soldier was eventually declared dead.
Currently, the South Korean military and police are investigating the exact circumstances of this incident.
