12 Dead in Plane Crash Near Butler Memorial Airport

On the 14th, the Missouri Highway Patrol issued a statement stating that a plane crashed near Butler Memorial Airport, 106 kilometers south of Kansas City in Missouri. All 12 people on board were killed.

Missouri Highway Patrol Officer Justin Ewing stated that around 11:30 a.m. on that day, rescue workers received a report of an aircraft crash and fire. The crashed aircraft was a single-engine turboprop plane, used for carrying passengers for skydiving activities.

Ewing stated that the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate this accident.
