Lin Jian stated that China has noted that the first-phase memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the US includes the reopening of the Strait. The Hormuz Strait is an important passage for international navigation, and ensuring the safe and free passage of the Strait as soon as possible is in the interest of all parties. China is willing to maintain communication with relevant countries and the international community on this matter.
Lin Jian said that regarding the issue of Chinese ships you mentioned, China has been in communication with all parties and will continue to do everything in its power to ensure the safety of Chinese-owned ships and Chinese crew members.
