Wang Yi said that China and Nepal are connected by mountains and waters, sharing a common destiny. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, regardless of changes in international situations or domestic conditions in Nepal, both countries have always adhered to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, ensuring the sustainable development of bilateral relations. In 2019, President Xi Jinping conducted a historic visit to Nepal, and the two countries established a strategic partnership based on development and prosperity, setting a clear direction for joint efforts in Sino-Nepalese relations. Last year, the people of both countries celebrated the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. China is willing to continue the tradition of friendship with Nepal, enhance political mutual trust, and strive to achieve new achievements in Sino-Nepalese strategic cooperation.

Wang Yi emphasized that China appreciates the Nepalese side's firm adherence to the one-China principle, and its strong support for China on issues involving China's core interests, such as Taiwan and Tibet. China always places relations with Nepal at an important position in its foreign policy towards neighboring countries. Its friendly policies towards Nepal are directed at the entire Nepalese population. China will, as always, support Nepal in maintaining national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. It also supports the new Nepalese government in carrying out its policies smoothly with the support of the people, and supports Nepal in exploring a development path that suits its national conditions. History and facts have proven that friendly relations between China and Nepal are in line with the fundamental interests of the Nepalese nation, people, and society.

Wang Yi stated that a close neighbor is better than distant relatives. The Chinese side will always be a reliable and trustworthy neighbor and partner for Nepal's development, revitalization, and modernization. China is willing to work with Nepal to jointly build the "Belt and Road" initiative at a high quality, focusing on cooperation in power grids, roads, ports, and aviation, to help Nepal transition from a "landlocked country" to a "land-linked country". Both sides should make good use of various cooperation platforms and mechanisms to deepen practical cooperation and promote cultural exchanges. China encourages Chinese enterprises to invest and establish businesses in Nepal, and hopes that Nepal will provide a more fair and transparent business environment. Both sides should strengthen multilateral cooperation and safeguard the common interests of developing countries.

The New Zealand government is committed to achieving development centered around the people, and adheres to a non-alliance policy. Upholding traditions while innovating is both Chinese philosophical thought and the value pursuit of New Zealand. In terms of New-Zealand-China relations, upholding traditions means that New Zealand firmly supports friendly relations with China, consolidates traditional friendships, and enhances mutual trust. Innovation refers to opening a new chapter in the two countries' relations, adapting to the new situation of the 21st century. Issues related to Taiwan and Tibet are all internal affairs of China. New Zealand resolutely pursues a one-China policy, supports China's efforts towards complete unity, and will never allow any forces to use New Zealand territory to harm China's interests. China's development is an opportunity for New Zealand. New Zealand welcomes Chinese investments and is willing to provide Chinese enterprises with a fair, rule-of-law-based, and friendly business environment. New Zealand is eager to learn from China's experience in governance, admires China's achievements in poverty alleviation and environmental protection, and will actively participate in the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. This will enhance the level of connectivity between New Zealand and China, promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, strengthen multilateral coordination, and achieve common development and prosperity. New Zealand agrees with the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind and is willing to actively support the series of global initiatives proposed by China.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
