Visa-Free Travel to Cambodia for Chinese Citizens

According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, on June 20, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia issued a consular reminder regarding Chinese citizens who can travel to Cambodia without a visa.

The Cambodian government announced that from June 15, 2026, to October 15, 2026, individuals holding the People's Republic of China ordinary passport can enter Cambodia visa-free, regardless of whether they depart from within China or from third countries. During this visa-free period, multiple entries are allowed, with each stay not exceeding 14 days. Entering Cambodia does not require prior visa application; travelers only need to fill out an E-Arrival Card as required to complete the entry procedures.

Chinese Embassy in Cambodia reminds Chinese citizens of the following matters:

Before departing, gather information about Cambodian entry and exit procedures, as well as local weather and customs. Cambodia has officially implemented an electronic entry system. International travelers can download the Cambodia e-arrival mobile application within 7 days before entering the country, or visit www.arrival.gov.kh to fill out entry information and obtain an electronic entry card. Alternatively, they can use this system on-site upon arrival in Cambodia.

The Cambodian government has repeatedly stated that it is prohibited for port officials to ask for tips. Chinese citizens in Cambodia should clearly refuse any requests for tips when entering or leaving the country. They should collect relevant evidence, provided that their own safety is ensured, and promptly report the situation to the Chinese embassy in Cambodia.

(1) Keep passports, personal belongings, and identification documents properly. Do not easily trust strangers, and do not casually carry luggage or items for others when entering or leaving the country.

(II) Strictly comply with Cambodian laws, regulations, and religious customs. When visiting temples, palaces, and Angkor monuments, it is important to dress appropriately. Do not wear overly revealing clothing, do not touch or climb cultural relics, and avoid any behavior that may offend monks or local religious customs.

(III) Cambodia implements strict regulations regarding the use of drones. Without permission, it is not allowed to carry or use drone equipment.

The Cambodian government has recently increased its efforts to combat illegal activities such as telecom fraud, online gambling, and illegal detention. Chinese citizens are advised to maintain a clean lifestyle, stay away from "pornography, gambling, and drugs," refrain from participating in illegal activities such as online gambling and telecom fraud, not to believe false information like "high-paying job offers," and avoid falling into the risk of illegal employment.

Recently, the Cambodian government has strengthened inspections regarding the legal entry and residence of foreign citizens. Chinese citizens in Cambodia are advised to carry their original passports with them and cooperate actively with the on-site inspections. If you do not have a passport, please provide photos or copies of the passport information page, immigration records, and any valid visas (if available), as well as relevant documents such as passport replacements or visa extensions, in order to verify your identity. In case of misunderstandings or if you are temporarily taken away for further inspection, please remain calm, actively appeal to the relevant authorities, or use legal and proper channels such as hiring a lawyer to protect your rights, and promptly report the situation to the Chinese embassy in Cambodia.

It is important to understand and be familiar with local emergency contact numbers such as police and medical emergency services, as well as the contact information of China's embassy in Cambodia. This way, you can report emergencies promptly and seek assistance when needed.
