According to CNN, a senior U.S. diplomat involved in negotiations revealed on June 21 that the U.S.-Iran negotiations are still underway in Switzerland, and the U.S. delegation is expected to work 'all night'.
This official stated that Vice President of the United States, Pence, "continues to hold multiple meetings and consultations."
The diplomat said, “The Iranian negotiators are still present, and the discussions are continuing. We plan to continue the negotiations all night long.”
The official stated that the topics discussed between the two sides included clarifying Iran’s statements regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as how to establish mechanisms to ensure the Strait remains open.
He added: "Both sides are also negotiating on conflict avoidance mechanisms and the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the southern Lebanon."
Officials said that both sides have had a thorough and in-depth discussion regarding "all core terms of the nuclear agreement."
