According to the US Department of Defense website, on July 10 local time, the US Department of Defense released the fourth batch of documents related to UFOs, which include 14 documents, 19 videos, 4 audio recordings, and 3 images.
Among them, the U.S. Northern Command submitted a report of an unknown anomaly to the All-Area Abnormality Resolution Office (AARO). The report included a 32-second video recorded by the U.S. military in 2020 using infrared sensors. Some American media consider this video to be “the clearest image to date” among the related documents.
The text of the report was heavily blacked out. A naval weapons system operator described in the report that this object was spotted over the Atlantic Ocean. The object had a “dark brownish-red color,” with a height of about 12 to 15 feet (3.6 to 4.6 meters). The object “moved with the wind,” “did not engage in autonomous maneuvering, nor did it change its direction of travel.” It resembled “a large balloon with a slightly distorted shape.”
The documents released in this round come from various U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Defense, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Energy. The time span covers from 1948 to 2025, with about half of the documents originating after 2010.
According to an executive order signed by Trump, the Pentagon published the first batch of documents on a dedicated government website on May 8. The second and third batches of documents were published on May 22 and June 12 respectively.
On July 10, Sean Penner, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense, stated that the Department of Defense will continue to release more such documents. The Department of Defense and its partner agencies are actively preparing the next batch of documents on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).
