According to AFP reports dated July 12 local time, a conservative newspaper in Iran, known for its radical rhetoric, recently published a list of targets for retaliation in the aftermath of the assassination of Supreme Leader Ahmadinejad. The list includes leaders from the United States, Israel, and European countries.
On the night of July 11th, the Hamshahri newspaper posted an infographic online, featuring photos of 13 foreign leaders, along with a statement from the current Supreme Leader of Iran, Mousawawi. Mousawawi's statement mentioned that Iran had compiled a list of individuals for retaliation, but did not disclose their names. There is currently no indication that the list published by the newspaper has been approved by Iranian officials.
It is reported that the infographic lists figures including U.S. President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, and British Prime Minister Sturmey.
The other people on the list include US Secretary of State Blinken, US Defense Secretary Hagel, French President Macron, Italian Prime Minister Meloni, and German Chancellor Merz.
Previously, US President Trump posted a message on social media on the evening of July 10, stating that the US military had targeted Iran with 1,000 missiles. If “Iran attempted to assassinate him or failed in such an attempt,” thousands more missiles would be launched immediately.
Several American media reports indicate that Israel has shared intelligence with the United States regarding Iran's plan to assassinate Trump. On the same day, Trump also told the New York Post that he had given instructions: "If anything happens, bomb them with an intensity they (the Iranians) have never seen."
