Trump Accuses China of Election Interference, Contradicting US Intelligence

Recently, U.S. President Trump once again accused China of trying to influence elections, thereby giving the Democrats an advantage in the results.

However, this statement contradicts the previous assessments of the U.S. intelligence community, which expressed ‘high confidence’ that China did not interfere in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.

In response, the Chinese side stated that the US claims are baseless and meant to smear. These claims have been proven to be absurd. The Chinese side has always adhered to the principle of not interfering in internal affairs and has had no interest in, nor ever interfered with, the US elections.

According to Nanyang Post on July 17th, this news quickly spread within China, leading to ridicule from netizens.

"China is again becoming a scapegoat?" Internet users analyzed that Trump needs an enemy to solidify his support rate before the midterm elections.

Many social media users believe that Trump's trade war with China has led to deep economic reforms in China, and ultimately China will benefit from these reforms.

Let them focus on their internal conflicts. Let us focus on development.
