On July 20 local time, the American 'Politico News Network' reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that FBI Director Patllet plans to visit Russia later this year. The report stated that this trip is 'unusual and sensitive' for the FBI Director.
A U.S. official familiar with the itinerary revealed that Patel plans to visit Russia from October 14th to 15th. He will first travel to Moscow and then to Saint Petersburg. The official mentioned that the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) may host Patel. It is not clear whether Patel will meet with Russian leaders, or what issues he will discuss with the Russians.
Similar to the visits planned by U.S. officials, Patel’s visit to Russia is also tentative and may change.
Regarding this message, the White House, FBI, and U.S. Department of Justice have remained silent for now.

According to Politico News Network, the last FBI director who visited Russia publicly was Robert Mueller, who did so in Moscow in 2013. If this visit takes place, it will be ‘unusual and sensitive’ for the current director, Patellar.
Currently, there are differences between the United States and Russia regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Some American politicians are advocating for more severe sanctions against Russia.
