Trumps Super Intelligence Order for AI: SpaceX Renames Account

On October 10th local time, American billionaire Elon Musk posted a screenshot on the social platform X, showing that his company SpaceX AI has responded to President Trump's request and renamed its official account to "SpaceX Super Intelligence".

Musk recently stated, "We will rename SpaceXAI as SpaceXSI."

Trumps Super Intelligence Order for AI: SpaceX Renames Account

Last month, during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Trump said that the U.S. government would refer to artificial intelligence (AI) as “Super Intelligence” in its official statements from now on. On September 29 local time, Trump signed an executive order requiring all government agencies to use the term “Super Intelligence” in their official letters, communications, and documents.

On October 8th local time, Trump warned that anyone who continued to use the term “artificial intelligence” instead of what he considered to be a more accurate term, “superintelligence”, would be viewed as an “enemy” by the White House.

However, the American news website Axios noticed that the White House has not actually fully implemented Trump's requests. The White House has replaced the text on the U.S. government's artificial intelligence website AI.gov with “SI.gov,” but as of now, the actual URL used by the website remains AI.gov, and no changes have been made in accordance with Trump's requirements.

Trump's executive order does not mandate that U.S. private businesses use the term "Super Intelligence" or its abbreviation "SI". Some tech industry professionals said that some companies are willing to comply with Trump and use "SI" when meeting with him or dealing with the federal government. However, they do not believe that this new term will become widely used in other contexts.
