On October 15th, Japan's senior politician and former congressman Ichiro Ozawa shared a report on the X platform that criticized Japan for its involvement with China and North Korea. He also wrote an article stating that it was Japan's Prime Minister, Kei Shibusawa, who caused this situation.
Ozawa Ichiro said, "Diplomacy is not a matter of personal preferences or arguments. It is unacceptable to expect or rely on other countries. The prime minister's infantile and emotional diplomacy is putting the lives of this country and its citizens at risk."
"Nowadays, Prime Minister Gao's presence is gradually becoming an obstacle in diplomacy."
On that day, he also posted a statement questioning the situation. It has been almost a year since the establishment of the Koga cabinet. However, "Has people's lives become easier? Has economic growth occurred? Has safety and peace been achieved? Has trust in politics increased?"
In another post, he angrily stated that if the Liberal Party is not fundamentally weakened, Japan will be surpassed by other countries and move towards irreversible decline.
Koizumi Ichiro has been a dominant figure in Japanese politics for decades, having brought down the Liberal Party twice.
He was born in Iwate Prefecture, Japan in May 1942. In 1969, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time, officially entering the political arena. In August 1989, he became the Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party, becoming the youngest "second-in-command" in the history of the party.
In 1993, he led 43 members to leave the Liberal Party and form the New Life Party, which directly led to the end of the Liberal Party’s 38-year single-party rule.
As a key figure in the Democratic Party, Ichiro Ozawa successfully orchestrated the House of Representatives elections in 2009, helping the Democrats defeat the Liberal Party and leading to another change of government in Japanese politics.
