According to Japanese police reports, at around 7 a.m. local time on October 20th, in Itobe Town, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, a large vehicle of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces collided with a light passenger car.

The fire department said that the driver of the light passenger car was confirmed to have died on the scene, and two members of the Self-Defense Forces were injured and taken to the hospital.
The police are investigating the accident and suspect that one of the vehicles may have driven onto the oncoming lane.
