Iran Condemns Israel's Attack on Beirut

On the evening of the 14th local time, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement strongly condemning the military actions carried out by Israel against a residential area in Dahiye in Beirut that afternoon. The attack resulted in casualties among several Lebanese citizens.

The statement indicates that this action not only blatantly violates Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also seriously breaches the cease-fire agreement reached between Iran and the United States on April 8th of this year.

Iran reaffirms that the United States government bears direct responsibility for the crimes committed by Israel and its repeated violations of ceasefire agreements. It also emphasizes Iran’s determination to take all necessary measures to exercise its inherent legitimate right to self-defense.

The statement claims that Israel bears joint responsibility for the dangerous consequences that arise from its actions that threaten regional peace and security.
