On June 22nd local time, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a joint statement between Qatar and Pakistan on social media platforms. The statement stated that the first high-level talks held under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Qatar and Pakistan concluded in Birsberg, Switzerland.

The statement indicated that there has been encouraging progress in negotiations, including the establishment of a mechanism for further technical discussions.
According to the statement, based on the Memorandum of Understanding, all parties agree to establish a high-level committee responsible for political oversight of the mediation efforts. The chief negotiator will report regularly to this committee.
The statement indicates that the high-level committee has reached an agreement on a roadmap for reaching a final agreement within 60 days, laying the foundation for immediate further technical negotiations. In addition, all parties have established a communication channel to ensure the safe passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement also indicates that all parties agreed to establish a conflict mitigation team, with the help of mediation efforts, to coordinate between the various parties and Lebanon. This will ensure that military operations in Lebanon are terminated in accordance with the provisions of the memorandum of understanding. During the remaining time of this week, technical-level talks will continue to take place in Mount Beilighen, where discussions will cover all issues.
