On the 25th, Dmitriev, President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Special Presidential Representative for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, posted a message on the X platform praising American entrepreneur Elon Musk as a peacemaker.
He wrote, “Elon is a peacemaker. He understands the catastrophic consequences of escalation measures, and he also comprehends the profit-driven motives of those who are militaristic—they use deceptive moral postures and media propaganda to mask unrealistic plans that only serve to prolong wars. Peacemakers will succeed.”
On the 24th, Ukraine stated that the Starlink satellite system and its military version, StarGuard, have now resumed normal operation. Previously, the system was restricted for over a week, which hindered Ukrainian military operations and exacerbated tensions between the United States and Ukraine.
Just a few hours later, Musk accused the Ukrainian military of violating the company’s terms of service. Musk said, “The Ukrainian military violated the terms of service for Starlink, using it to launch drone attacks that caused casualties. This flaw was fixed last week.”
He emphasized that using ‘Star Chain’ to launch offensive drone strikes for the purpose of killing is never allowed, and should not be allowed. Additionally, ‘Star Shield’ is a different system, controlled by the U.S. government. ‘It is up to them to decide what to do.’
